Petty cash

Coming soon

Keep a cash float for the daily small spends, such as food, water, transport, power and generator fuel, with every top-up and purchase approved first and a balance that carries over week to week.

One email when it ships. No newsletter.

What it will do

This module is designed and being built. The list below is the scope we are working to, not a screenshot of a finished product.

Several cash boxes

An office float, a site float or one per branch, each with its own custodian and a running balance that carries over from one week to the next.

Requisitioned, then approved

The custodian asks for the week's top-up and for each purchase from their phone. An approver changes the amounts if needed and approves, and only then does cash move.

Urgent spends, approved after

When the generator runs dry at night, the custodian records the spend straight away with the receipt, and an approver accepts it or asks about it the next morning.

Counted and reported

Count the cash now and then and any difference is recorded with a reason. Each box shows its entries, and a weekly or monthly report by category exports to a spreadsheet.

Who it is for

  • Offices that top up a petty cash float every week.
  • Sites and branches that buy fuel, water and food in cash every day.
  • Owners who want every shilling out of the box to have an approval and a receipt.

Questions about Petty cash

When does it launch?

Petty cash is being built now. Ask us to tell you when it ships and we will email you the week it is switched on — no newsletter attached.

Will it cost extra?

No. Petty cash will be part of the Business and Enterprise plans at the prices published today.

Can we keep it off?

Yes. Petty cash stays off until you switch it on, and once on, only the people you choose can look after a box, approve or see the reports.

Be told when Petty cash ships

Leave your email and we will write once, the week the module is switched on. Invoicing is live now if you would like to start there.
